About Event
· Does the organizing committee provide bicycle repair services? What’s the time and location?
The organizing committee will provide maintenance service before the race. Please check the schedule in the maintenance service module of the Online event manual.
· What could I do if I have a puncture or other mechanical problems during the race?
We recommend you bring your spare tire and portable inflator with you, the organizing committee will also place some inflators at supply stations on the track. The organizing committee will not provide neutral services, nor will any team or club cars be allowed to drive on the track.
· Where could I find the results? How to get the certificates and medals after race?
After race, participants will get a race medal at the finish line.participants can check their results and download certificates on the official website and Online event manual.
· How to apply for a prize money?
Please log in to the Online event manual and fill in your personal information on the prize money application page. After verification by the organizing committee, the prize money will be distributed within 10 working days. If the award-winning participant is found to have violated rules and regulations, the ranking and prize money will be directly cancelled, and the subsequent ranking will not increase.Winners are required to attend the award ceremony in time. Winners who do not attend the award ceremony are considered to have voluntarily given up their prize money. The forfeited prize money will not be passed on to other participants.
· What should I do if I get lost or accidentally get injured during the race?
During the race, the emergency phone number is 18618331277, which can be found on the number bib. We suggest that you bring your mobile phone with you, please remember the signs and supply stations along the track before the race.
· What materials do I need to prepare for my first time to participant in KOG?
If you are a cyclist, we suggest that you prepare a bicycle (road or mountain bike, depending on your race group), helmet, short sleeved cycling suit, arm and leg protection (sun protection), goggles, bicycle headscarf, short finger gloves, bicycle inner tubes (to prevent tire punctures), tire repair tools, combination tools (of course, we also provide simple repair services at arena), bottles, Energy glue and other items that you may use during races.
If you are a runner, we suggest you prepare a pair of cross-country running shoes&a pair of jogging shoes, quick drying short sleeved T-shirts, sports pants, sunshades, headscarves, MP3/bone conduction earphones and other music players, running waist bags (small water bottles can be installed), energy glue and other items that you may use during the race.
· What rules do I need to pay attention to?
All participants should be familiar with the rules, please refer to the event rules in the online event manual for details.
① Littering zones: Xiwuqi King of the Grasslands supports Leave No Trace (LNT) and will be strictly implementing its policy. Littering will only be allowed at well-marked and designated zones around the refreshment stations. Participants who are spotted throwing away bottles, cups, wrapping paper or any other garbage outside these zones will be disqualified from the result list of the event.
②Refreshment stations: there will be stations with water, energy drink & snacks at every 5km and after 30km at 3km intervals for 50km runners. And there will be a supply station every 20 kilometers for cyclists. Have an extra energy gel in your pocket .The supply station will be equipped with first aid kits for handling minor injuries.
③Clothes deposit: participants can drop off extra clothing or personal belongings at the secured designated area at start/finish arena, please do not store valuable items such as phones and wallets. Please use the stickers with your number bib print to identify your clothes bag. After race, you can collect your bag with your number bib.
④TOILET:The Xiwuqi Cultural Plaza will be equipped with movable public toilets. Due to the grassland terrain, we are unable to set up toilets on the track, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.
Attention: In high-altitude grassland areas, the weather is variable. Participants must check their equipment and gears, such as cycling jackets and full finger gloves. If needed, participants can contact the staff nearby for help.
· Does the organizing committee provide track GPX files?
The organizing committee will provide GPX file downloads a few days before the race, please check the detail in online event manual
